CHRISTMAS DAY!:)

This year was our first Christmas as a married couple, it was so special. We slept in and then opened presents, we were also able to spend Christmas day with both sides of our families. I gave Chris a grill for our new house, a car scrapper, and some socks and stuff! Chris gave me new running shoes, a core work out ball, new boots, and I got a new phone (He spoiled me). The best gift of all those was being able to wake up next to my eternal companion!

Chris's family has the matching pajama tradition which I tried to carry to our family...but it's a little hard when there are just two of you! It was definitely fun though, I got red and white and he got green and white and his pajama bottoms had a dark red stripe in them. It will be more of a tradition I think when we have kids and can have all the girls matching, and all the boys.

Family Christmas Parties!

We have a family Christmas party every year for my mom's side of the family. It was so great to see everyone! My grandparents decided to dress the little kids up and read the story about Christ from the scriptures this year. It was so cute! The little girls had angel costumes, they had a Mary, a Manger with a baby, and the boys worn robes and had canes. My youngest nephew loved dressing up and did not want to take it off. Anytime some one would take is cane or his little rag hat off he would get so mad and give them a dirty look.

We also celebrated my older nephew's fourth birthday. In that last picture he is holding the motorcycle we gave him. When you push down on the wheels it makes motorcycle noises. He thought it was so great!

Family Pictures

I know this is so lame, but I was a slacker on our Christmas card this year. So here is my attempt to make up for it.

So much has happened this year, Chris and I have been so blessed! At the beginning of the year Chris and I got married. Everything went so smooth and we will never forget our special temple ceremony. Although it snowed we felt that it was a beautiful day and I would not have traded it for anything. We went to Cancun on our honeymoon and then packed up to go live in Miami for the summer. We had so much fun while we were out there and Chris worked so hard. We were also able to take a quick trip to the Bahamas before we returned home and it was gorgeous there. Since being back we have been living in an apartment in South Ogden. We are currently closing on a house loan that should go through this month and couln't be happier about it!

This year Chris has been quite the busy bee. Aside from everything else going on he has been working full time for Verizon, and is a loan officer for Republic Morgage. In his spare time he has been getting ready for us to be able to move (our house has a little remodling to do). Chris loves spending time with family and we generally never have a dull moment, anyone who knows Chris could agree with me on that.

This year was also a big one for me. It's not official until I get my dimploma in the mail but I recieved my associates degree this semester! I have a few semesters left now and am planning to graduate next December with my bachelors in Accounting. I usually keep myself super busy with all my homework but I love spending time with Chris. I could not have asked for a better husband!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The sun was shining all day for Ashley and Nelli's wedding...but we did not end up so lucky on the way home. From Beaver to Filmore it was a white out. There was not a lot of snow it was just blowing so hard that we couldn't see anything. At one point everyone was just stopped on the road because a semi had jack-knifed on the interstate. Luckily we had decided to caravan home with our friends Frank and Lynn, so of course to kill time while we were stuck in traffic there was a snowball fight!

Nelli and Ashley's Wedding

Our friends got married on Saturday December 13 in the St. George temple. It was such a beautiful day, and an amazing ceremony. We are so excited for them to start their new lives together and congratulate them on this accomplishment.

CHRISTMAS:)

I know it's a late post but we've been pretty busy. We put our tree up the first week of December. I love my new Christmas decorations and I may be a little biased but the pictures do not do them justice. The ribbon is actually tan with a chocolate brown but turns deep red in the light. Christmas has come so fast this year and we're so excited to spend time with our families.
