Family Pictures

I know this is so lame, but I was a slacker on our Christmas card this year. So here is my attempt to make up for it.

So much has happened this year, Chris and I have been so blessed! At the beginning of the year Chris and I got married. Everything went so smooth and we will never forget our special temple ceremony. Although it snowed we felt that it was a beautiful day and I would not have traded it for anything. We went to Cancun on our honeymoon and then packed up to go live in Miami for the summer. We had so much fun while we were out there and Chris worked so hard. We were also able to take a quick trip to the Bahamas before we returned home and it was gorgeous there. Since being back we have been living in an apartment in South Ogden. We are currently closing on a house loan that should go through this month and couln't be happier about it!

This year Chris has been quite the busy bee. Aside from everything else going on he has been working full time for Verizon, and is a loan officer for Republic Morgage. In his spare time he has been getting ready for us to be able to move (our house has a little remodling to do). Chris loves spending time with family and we generally never have a dull moment, anyone who knows Chris could agree with me on that.

This year was also a big one for me. It's not official until I get my dimploma in the mail but I recieved my associates degree this semester! I have a few semesters left now and am planning to graduate next December with my bachelors in Accounting. I usually keep myself super busy with all my homework but I love spending time with Chris. I could not have asked for a better husband!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The sun was shining all day for Ashley and Nelli's wedding...but we did not end up so lucky on the way home. From Beaver to Filmore it was a white out. There was not a lot of snow it was just blowing so hard that we couldn't see anything. At one point everyone was just stopped on the road because a semi had jack-knifed on the interstate. Luckily we had decided to caravan home with our friends Frank and Lynn, so of course to kill time while we were stuck in traffic there was a snowball fight!

Nelli and Ashley's Wedding

Our friends got married on Saturday December 13 in the St. George temple. It was such a beautiful day, and an amazing ceremony. We are so excited for them to start their new lives together and congratulate them on this accomplishment.

CHRISTMAS:)

I know it's a late post but we've been pretty busy. We put our tree up the first week of December. I love my new Christmas decorations and I may be a little biased but the pictures do not do them justice. The ribbon is actually tan with a chocolate brown but turns deep red in the light. Christmas has come so fast this year and we're so excited to spend time with our families.

Tagged!

I found it ironic that my sister-in-law Nicole tagged me on her seven year anniversary because the day after was mine and Chris' 7 month anniversary.

7 Random Memories:

1. My first random memory of Chris is when I first ran into him at a USU basketball game. I had met him the year before, but never hung out. My friend Ashley always had a hard time putting names with faces so we always came up with nicnames so I could remind her of who they were as they were approaching us. Chris ended up being 'Hott Chris' and I remember spotting him across the stadium later that night and thinking how cute I thought he was....and still is.

2. Chris and I had only been dating for about a month and it was Valentines Day. He took me to Ruby Tuesday's and when the hostess asked for our name to put on the waiting list Chris responded with the name Teedo. She started writing it down Tito and Chris said "No, it's T-e-e-d-o, Tito is my brother.

3. Two summers ago my brother and his family were visiting and I was getting ready for bed when I heard my youngest nephew crying. I went in the room he was staying in to get him and held him tell he went back to sleep. My brother came and took him from me and my nephew started crying because he wanted me to hold him. It sounds lame but it meant a lot to me because I only get to see them once or twice a year.

4. On the day Chris and I were married we were suppose to be at the temple at 10:15 and he showed up on time....but he had come straight from his friends office because he was doing my taxes..........and yes as crazy as it sounds we were married on APRIL 15! (Which is only ironic because I'm halfway through my bachelor's degree in accounting.

5. Chris and I went with some friends a couple summers ago to a festival out it Randolf, UT. A girl from the group was riding a horse on the side of the arena, her horse went out of control and threw her into a parked truck which broke quite a few bones in her face, morbid huh!

6. The first couple weeks when Chris and I started dating he received a email response from his brother who was on his mission at the time. He showed it to me and it read 'SOS Bachelor' and had a ship sinking, I thought it was so cute. Of course at the time I had to act casual!

7. The best is always last. When I first ran into Chris at the USU game he got my phone number and a few days later called to see what I was up to. I told him I was on my way home (my house at the time was about 30 minutes from Logan). He asked what he could do to talk me into coming back. I responded by saying that I was already about ten minutes away so it would have to be something really good, the dating scene was getting old to me and I figured he was just another guy. As lame as it sounds he offered IBC root beer and chocolate chip cookie dough, not knowing at the time that I am a sucker for food. We hung out for a few hours that night....and pretty much everyday since then. And although he may be just another guy to some he means the world to me!!!!

7 Random Facts:

1. My favorite thing to do is organize (anything), and I love tasking.
2. I worked construction for my dad's business for 2 summers, not because he made me but because I wanted to!
3. One of my legs is about a half inch shorter than the other.
4. I absolutely love food and on a good day could probably eat more than my husband.
5. Chris and I didn't say I love You until we had dated for about 7 or 8 months.
6. My husband is more cuddly than I am.
7. I don't love talking to on the phone I'd rather talk face to face.

7 Things I look forward to:

1. Finishing school.
2. Getting into a house.
3. Spending the rest of my life with Chris.
4. Our first Christmas as a married couple:)
5. Dinner;)
6. Going to my best friends wedding.
7. Our next vacation!

REAL GAME

About a week ago Chris took me took my first Real Game. It was their first game in the playoffs and they won by a goal in the last few minutes of the game. It was surprisingly warm and a lot of fun!

Birthday Fun

It's been a fun yet busy week. It started Saturday when Chris and I went out with some friends to Iggy's for my birthday. After that we went up to my parents Sunday and hung out with the family. I'm now a quarter of a century old and had a great week. My birthday was actually on Monday the 27th and Chris took me shopping, to dinner and then a movie. I received a lot of fun gifts and had a very memorable day, thank you everyone!:)

The Bybee Way of Camping:)

My cute Husband!

The Group and their Deer

Me, Nicole, Katelyn, Kathy

The campground, our tent is the big tan one on the left

The girls last minute decided to take a short trip up to Scipio to visit the guys who were deer hunting. It was my first hunting trip and I loved being in the mountains. Chris's family goes up with two other families. Kathy was so nice and bought all us girls matching jackets. We went hiking, roasted smores, and I even shot Chris's rifle (just at a target though). I have now been introduced into a different way of camping. The tent we slept in was big enough for all of us, it fits 14. They had cots to sleep on, blow up mattress's, and the tent was heated!!! They also took their camp chef kitchen and my mother and father in law made some amazing food for us, it was delicious. We were so excited that Nicole and Katelyn came along. When we got to the campground Katelyn had a huge grin on her face, you would have thought it was Christmas morning:) The guys are still up there and hopefully they will have some success.

The Good Old Days

We went to Logan this last weekend to BBQ with our friends Nelli and Ashley. After our BBQ we all went to the truck derby. It was really fun to spend time with old friends, something we missed a lot while out in Florida. Then we spent the rest of the weekend with my family. It was really fun and a nice end to a fading summer.

Husband of the year award!

Chris has been so good to me, and to top it all off he just finished a long project that I couldn't have done with out him. I've been swamped with school and we have been in need of a kitchen table but haven't really found anything that we liked. After a little searching Chris bought us a table from ksl for only $65. It was everything we had been looking for except it was light pine with forest green, yes forest green. He spent probably 4 days sanding it down, painting black, staining it, and there may have been a blow torch involved.

Before...

And after...

Swimming with SHARKS....Borderline Crazy!?

Chris was able to go shark diving while we were in the Bahamas! This may sound insane but they were actually really calm and he even touched one. The sharks were anywhere from 6-10ft long, which I don't think was too bad. It was a great experience for him because he has always wanted to go... Except now we wants to go free diving with a shark. I couldn't go because I am not certified yet or I would have been right there!

GRAND BAHAMAS!!!!

All of these pictures are just to show how clear the water was. It was like looking through glass. The dark spots are actually just grass on the ocean floor. We went snorkeling and saw a lot of cool fish. The water was really warm and our resort was on the best side of the island and was more secluded.

What an Adventure!!!

I'm a little bit behind because right as I finished finals for my summer semester we went on vacation to the Bahamas for 4 days! After our fun vacation we returned home and packed up our car, then drove the 2,500 miles back home in 1.5 days. We were in a hurry because we wanted to see my bother, sister in law and nephews who were visiting from Milwaukee before they left. After a fun day with the family we headed back to South Ogden to find a place to live before school started. We were able to move into our apartment the Friday before my classes begun and now I am in the full swing of things. So here are a couple of posts of everything that's happened over the last month.
The first and second picture is from the cruise ship leaving Florida for the Bahamas, the third and fourth are entering Freeport Bahamas, and the last is the view of the back of our hotel where the bay is. There is a ferry that goes back and forth every hour to another part of the island so you don't have to take a taxi and go around!
