Meet.....

Tanner Neal
Tanner joined our family on January 27, 2011 at 10:16 p.m.

He weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long.

At his 2 week check up his stats were:
7 lbs 1 oz - 9%
21 inches long - 67%
Head circumference 14.2 - 23%

Tanner had lots of visitors at the hospital including grandparents, lots of aunts and uncles and some of our very close friends. We were restricted the first couple days because of my complications so thank you everyone for working with our schedule!

Cousin Maddi who is 9 months old now

Tanner is a fabulous baby. He is really happy as long as he has a clean diaper on, no gas bubbles, and a full belly. He LOVES his food and freaks out when he gets hungry. We know he is hungry because if you try and give him his pacifier he shakes his head back and forth rapidly and it's usually accompanied by some snorting. He sometimes is a good sleeper and will go for a 5-6 hour stretch...but he is a really gassy baby so that doesn't happen often. We are currently trying to figure out if we can help his gassy belly.

This kid also LOVES to cuddle, which is super fun until we try to get anything around the house done and then he is mad!

We have had a ton of dinners brought to us, gifts, and help from all our family and friends and we appreciate it a great deal.

The End of 2010

A little update of the last few months of 2010.  In October we went on our usual hunting trip and got caught in a huge snow storm that ended with Chris getting his trophy deer.
He was so happy!

Our storage tent, well what was left of it after the storm.

The storm made for a big success hunting, Chris' is the second from the left.

And of course they would show them off.

We then had my golden birthday, I turned 27 on the 27th.  Chris is such a sweetheart and surprised me with a diamond necklace that matches my ring.  My ring signifies the start of our marriage and my necklace signifies the start of our family, awe :)
I think this is the last picture of my ring on my ring finger, it barely fits on my pinkie now.

Since my last post I have 28 and 32 week pictures.
28 Weeks

32 Weeks

My family and friends also threw me baby showers.  We were definitely spoiled and I appreciate all the wonderful things that were given to us.

My old roommate Bree made this cake, it was delicious.  Thanks Bree!

I didn't really take any pictures around Christmas, terrible I know.  Here is a picture from the Dahle family Christmas party.  My Grandpa always reads the story of Christ.
Usually my nephews are the shepherds but they were at their home in Illinois this year so Chris and my brother in law Ben filled in.  You probably can't tell from the picture but Chris is the one in blue with the light green wrap around his head, and he has a nice black eye.  He was invited by his co workers to play an indoor soccer game one night.  I did not go because the game was at 11:30 at night.  This 40 year old guy from the other team was looking to cause trouble from the beginning and in the last 30 seconds of the game punched Chris in the face out of no where.  Chris and I had such a wonderful Christmas spending time with each other and our families.  We feel so blessed and are excited for what 2011 will bring.  Hope everyone else had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!

Baby Update

Warning:  This post is long, I want to document some pregnancy stuff so I don't forget it!

My 28 week appointment was today!  I had to do the glucose test...yuck!  I went in a couple weeks ago because I had severe swelling and extreme nausea, it ended up being my blood pressure which was 155/94.  The good news: it is around 113/72 laying down.  They don't like it to be over 120/80.  My blood pressure this appointment was still a little high but normal again when I am laying down, so I am suppose to rest a lot.  How that is possible I don't know.  I work 40 hours a week and sometimes can barely fit in all the other things I have to do.  I kicked my shoes off the other day at work and couldn't get them back on when it was time to leave :)  Along with the high blood pressure I am SO sick again.  I'm nauseous all the time and I wake up in the night almost throwing up, it's terrible.  They did give me a prescription which has helped but is still not fun at times.  I have also blown up like a balloon!  My ring is tight even on my pinkie finger sometimes and I always have indents from my socks etc.  I have lowered my sodium intake but the swelling still seems the same.  All I know is that it will be totally worth it I just need to get our little boy here and keep him healthy.

A few things about pregnancy so far:
  • My biggest craving is mashed potatoes.
  • I lived off fruits in the beginning, which is weird because I love my sweets.
  • Speaking of sweets, I hate them during pregnancy.  They are my biggest food aversion and they make me sick.
  • Sprite, ice packs, jolly ranchers and gummies have been live savers!
  • I have never been able to keep down anything with peperoni's on it, or my favorite banana bread.
  • I can taste the different flavoring in M&M's and when I do eat them I only like the brown and red ones, weird I know.
  • I have hated salsa my whole life, it makes me gag...I now LOVE it!
  • I have never had "morning sickness" it's actually either night or all day sickness.  Generally mornings are the best for me though!
  • I felt our little peanut around 18 weeks and Chris felt him around 20 weeks.
  • I grew in my hips first not my belly.
  • Being pregnant does not mean getting a big belly it can mean getting a big everything!  Everything has gotten bigger, and actually my belly has grown probably the slowest.
  • We told our families the exciting news at 8 weeks, we had been trying for awhile and when we got pregnant we just couldn't keep it a secret for very long.
  • I found out on Memorial Day morning our exciting news, I also found out about 3 minutes later that my Grandpa Godfrey had passed away.  Chris came home with pizza to console me about my grandpa and I told him our news then!
  • I initially thought we were having a little boy, Chris was sure it was a girl.
  • Before we found out the gender I had dreams that it was a girl so I second guessed my instincts.
  • Off and on through out pregnancy I have had to keep food by my bed to eat through the night or I get sick.  An empty stomach gives me the worst nauseous feeling.
I am sure I am forgetting things, it seems I am a space cadet when pregnant.

I have my 24 week pictures and hopefully won't get too behind at taking my 28 week pictures soon and posting.  Despite all the rough times I love being pregnant and feel so blessed for the opportunity to carry our little peanut!

For some reason this is not letting me post anymore pictures ;(
Hunting and birthday update will have to wait now!

Too Many Options!

I'm deciding between a portable or regular size infant swing, and whether I want a plug in or battery operated?  Any advice?

Oh BOY!!!

We are so excited that we are having a little BOY!!!  I'm closer to 24 weeks now but here are my 20 week ultrasound pictures.  It was so nice to hear that everything is growing right on target and that our little boy looks really healthy!  Baby Bybee is a very active little boy and we are excited to have now passed the halfway mark!
